exterminated from Mianwali distt: by 1970 where
they were plentiful between Darya Khan and
Kundian, D.I.Khan in NWFP.
Habitat

It is confined to Riverain forest in the plain and
particularly where there are extensive areas of
dense grass or it is confined to isolated pockets of
jungle in the regions of Indus.
Feed
Leaves of popular, grasses, fruit of ber trees
Breeding Season
August to October
Litter Size
1 – 2 Fawns
Gestation Period
6 – 8 months
Predators
Man, Youngs are predated by Jackals

Ibex, Markhor, Marmots, Cape Hare, Pikas, Snow cocks domestic livestock, goats, sheeps.

mountain ranges and will occur
upto 9000 feet. They are also found
in hills upto 2500 feet.
Feed
They prefer grasses, phulai leaves.

Mid October to late November
