Habitat	It is confined to Riverain forest in the plain and particularly where there are extensive areas of dense grass or it is confined to isolated pockets of jungle in the regions of Indus.
Feed	Leaves of popular, grasses, fruit of ber trees
Breeding Season	August to October
Litter Size	1 – 2 Fawns
Gestation Period	6 – 8 months
Predators	Man, Youngs are predated by Jackals
Life Span	10 year
Age at maturity	20 months for female and 3 years for male.

Habitat	Northern Hunza, Dir, Swat, Kohistan. It inhabits inner Himalayan ranges where both snow fall and rain-fall is scant. In summer it ranges upto the highest alpine meadows upto 17000 feet and descend to 5000 feet in winter.
Feed	Ibex, Markhor, Marmots, Cape Hare, Pikas, Snow cocks domestic livestock, goats, sheeps.
Breeding Season	December to February
Litter Size	2- 3 Cubs
Gestation period	98 – 103 days
Age at Maturity	2 – 3 years

Distribution	Chitral, Waziristan, Khyber agency, Malakand, Sindh, Kohistan, Lasbela hinglajhllis of Makran,    have become extremely rare on the west bank of Kunhar river in Chitral and Salt range.
Habitat	It inhibits gentle slopes of the higher mountain ranges and will occur upto 9000 feet. They are also found in hills upto 2500 feet.
Feed	They prefer grasses, phulai leaves.
Breeding season	Mid October to late November
Litter size	1 –2 Lambs
Gestation period	160-164 days
Age at Maturity	18 months for female, 2-1/2 years for male
Predators	Man, leopard, Wolves and Caracal
Life span	11 years
Status	Common.
