Gilgit, Hunza, Kalabagh, Kohat distt:,Kirther and margalla hills, Kala Chitta hills potwar  region of Rawalpindi, once plentiful but now exterminated from D.I.Khan and Thal desert, also exterminated from Mardan and Peshawar, still found in Sibi, Zhob, Lasbela, Kirther range.

Habitat
It is very adaptable animal, it seems to be
able to exist in extensive sand areas down
to sea level as well as dunes in stony plateaus  and low hilly regions upto 5000 feet elevation.

Feed
Browses green twigs, bushes, forbes, grasses,
succulent stems, crop of ripe seeds (brassica)

Breeding Season
End of the monsoon to early Oct. and again
from March to April.

2 years for female, 2 ½ years for male
